Analytical Scientific Associate in biotech
The candidate will perform analytical testing for routine analytical support and some method development in Process Chemistry R&D. Primary responsibilities include testing and data analysis of pharmaceutical drug substance and intermediates. Proficiency with basic analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV, KF, FTIR, TGA, DSC, LC-MS methods is required.
Required Skills
* Rapidly adapt to new experimental approaches; acquire new skills and techniques readily.
* Perform analytical instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
* Take ownership of work within the team and support the objectives of the Process Chemistry R&D group
* Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instruction
* Cooperate with coworkers within an organized team environment or work independently with limited supervision
* Maintain a laboratory notebook and complete all documentation clearly and accurately
* Perform necessary testing to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze pharmaceutical compounds placed on stability and any other analytical testing support
* Communicate project status in a timely and effective manner to the supervisor
* Perform work assignments accurately, and in a safe manner
* Review and compile results from work assignments in the expected timeframe
* Train on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory procedures and guidelines
* Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
Required Experience
* BS/MS in chemistry with a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in a research laboratory.
* Strong proficiency in HPLC is desired. Knowledge of basic analytical techniques such as UV, KF, FTIR, TGA, DSC and LC-MS for routine analysis is required.
* Experience in Empower and Chemstation HPLC software preferred
