Clinical Product Specialist in biotech
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintains a broad knowledge base of all products including instructions for use and appropriate clinical applications.
•Provides written and verbal information regarding the safe use of products to internal and external customers.
•Collects and compiles requested information and relays information in a timely and accurate manner.
•Researches issues; initiates and communicates solutions about products, services, clinical usage, product compatibility, product performance, and other areas as required.
•Gathers and evaluates product and safety data from a) Instructions for Use b) market research c) field visitations d) internet sources e) professional publications f) historical sales data g) competitive product information and maintains this database for dissemination to internal and external customers as needed.
•Acts as liaison with other departments and sales force in relaying data from customers regarding product performance, suggested customer needs, and product concerns.
•Stays informed about competitor products and sales activities in order to better service customers.
•Maintains effective relations with domestic and global internal and external customers.
•Maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
•Trains others on products and clinical procedures as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:
•Ability to develop knowledge of full product line and clinical uses of products.
•Demonstrate research and writing skills with ability to organize and prioritize.
•Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
•Knowledge and ability to use personal computer and utilize software applications.
•Ability to prepare and execute product presentations to others.
•Ability to train employees and customers in safe use and applications of products.
•Ability to work effectively as a team member and build strong relationships with internal departments and field sales force and the Clinical Hotline department.
•Ability to work independently.
•Knowledge of OR protocols for hospital inpatient and outpatient operating room procedures, cardiac catheterization and GI endoscopy procedures, including sterile technique.
