Biotech Process Sciences Senior Technician
Purpose of the role
* Set-up equipment and run - in an independent manner - small-scale experiments (bench-scale to pilot-scale) for process development/optimization/validation
* Set-up and run scaled-down processes for process validation
* Check and control process performance by analyzing In Process Control data provided by QC / ANA
* Assure the functionality of the BPS laboratories
* Supply required amounts of recombinant proteins for product development projects
Accountability Area
* Set-up and run processes and supply product on time and in agreement with the development needs
* Collaborate with the others BPS Groups to set-up efficient processes
* Perform the requested activities within the BPS according to its objectives and assure the functionality of its laboratories
* Perform proper maintenance and operations of technical equipment in laboratory
* Participation to "piquet" service according to department plan
* Respect of safety and hygiene rules according to internal procedures.
Qualifications
Functional Knowledge
* Expertise in setting-up equipment and running experiments at small-scale (bench-scale and/or pilot-scale)
* Clear understanding of biopharmaceutical process unit operations principles and techniques
* Good understanding of GxP and process validation quality requirements
* Know-how in industrial biopharmaceutical processes
* Understanding of company needs in development and validation of processes
Interpersonal Skills
* Communication skills at all levels within BPS (Managers, Assistant/Associate Scientists, Technicians…)
* Communication with other departments (QC, Manufacturing, QA…)
* Teamwork
Education/ Professional Experience
* Certificate in Biochemistry / Biology (Apprentice, BTS, IUT, Technical degree…) with minimum 3 years expertise in Biochemistry / Biology /chemistry field
* Or University degree (Licence, BSc…)
