Process Development Scientist in biotch

Supporting branded and generic products, the Process Development Scientist will provide process development expertise for the development of solid pharmaceutical oral dosage forms. We are seeking an individual who will initiate and monitor stability studies pertaining to manufacturing support projects, write and issue process development reports, and lead R&D technology transfer of assigned products into production. In addition, the successful candidate will provide support to QA and operations with respect to major process/product problems. The successful individual will carry out experimental studies and product reformulations to establish corrective action and improve processes, efficiency cost, and/or pharmaceutical quality of commercial products. The successful candidate will recommend and justify the purchase of new equipment for R & D and Operations and assist Engineering in the installation and qualification of R & D equipment.

Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or chemical engineering. Five plus years experience in formulations, process development or technical services with respect to the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical technology, manufacturing equipment, broad knowledge of development and manufacturing procedures, cGMPs, and other regulatory requirements governing pharmaceutical manufacturing. Good communication and analysis skills along with Microsoft Office proficiency are required.
