Bioinformatician, Developmental & Molecular Pathways

We are looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist to join the Developmental team. The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team, focused on using novel technological and computational approaches to make drug discovery more predictable and reliable.

This person will: • Work closely with the groups in supporting various applications used byP scientists • Design, implement and maintain custom Oracle databases for pathway data • Develop and maintain automated data analysis pipelines for processing and analyzing large ‘omic’ datasets • Assist scientists with software training • Provide general informatics support

Minimum requirements Competencies • A BS/MS degree in bioinformatics, computer science or equivalent education/experience • At least 3-5 years experience in application development in a drug discovery, scientific or biotech environment • Expertise in Oracle, SQL, and database design/architecture • Experience with Spotfire and PipelinePilot • Expertise in C#, PHP and other programming languages • Experience administering Unix/Linux and Windows environments • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
