Associate Scientist in biotech
Seeking a highly motivated individual to independently manage multiple projects, perform experiments, organize and analyze data, and communicate results. Working in a team environment, the successful candidate will develop, implement and validate robust methods for the quantification of drugs in biological fluids or tissues using ELISA and other bioanalytical techniques in support of drugs in Full Development. In this fashion, the incumbent will apply these methods during the analyses of samples from pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic studies (both internally and through outsourcing). A strong background in the application and validation of the Watson LIMS program is critical. Demonstrate strong problem solving and scientific skills, computer skills and knowledge of common software and database management are required. Additional responsibilities include participating and presenting in group and project meetings, providing technical and scientific input to other members of the group.
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry required. At least 3-5 years experience and increasingly complex laboratory experience also required. The successful candidate must have a strong laboratory background, including experience with specialized laboratory instrumentation and methodology (e.g., ELISA, Mesoscale). Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills are required, as are strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of GLPs/GMPs, including 21 CFR Part 11. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership attributes, be able to work independently as well as in a group setting, handle multiple projects, and demonstrate initiative.
