ORGANIC CHEMIST

This position is responsible for providing technical support to production and sales related to chemicals; specifically in making recommendations and problem solving process optimization.

* Synthesize new chemicals for evaluation as plasticizers for PVC. * Develop improved processes for existing products, write laboratory procedures, run routine analyses and interpret and report analytical data. * Interact effectively with production staff to transfer new products / processes into production.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

* BS/BA degree in Chemistry required. * Knowledge of organic chemistry and analytical techniques to identify critical connections and patterns and then draw logical conclusions based on in-depth analysis. * 0-2 years of experience in organic chemistry and experience with analytical instrumentation. * Demonstrated ability to identify optimal solutions based on weighing the advantages and disadvantages of alternative approaches. * Ability to think about problems from a new, creative perspective is required for success in the role. * Must have solid computer skills. * Solid communications skills, both written and verbal are required.
