Clinical Research Associate

The Clinical Research Associate I performs and coordinates all aspects of the clinical monitoring process in accordance with Good Clinical Practices and global Standard Operating Procedures to assess the safety and efficacy of investigational products and/or medical devices.

Will conduct site visits to determine protocol and regulatory compliance, and prepares required documentation. Represents in the global medical research community and develops collaborative relationships with investigative sites and client company personnel.

Required to travel 60-70% on average.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: . Bachelor’s Degree or an RN certification from an appropriately accredited institution;

. Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical environment where experience is gained in clinical trials, medical terminology, medical research, clinical research, or health care; OR

. A minimum of 2 years experience in a health sciences field with formal training in medical terminology and anatomy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

.Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology

.Ability to attain and maintain a working knowledge of GCPs and applicable SOPs

.Basic computer skills and ability to learn and become proficient with appropriate software

.Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with medical personnel

.Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills

.Strong attention to detail

.Proven flexibility and adaptability

.Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed

.Valid driver’s license

.Ability to qualify for and maintain a corporate credit card with sufficient credit line to allow for extensive business travel
