Project Leader, Genomics Sciences
The Project Leader will lead internal research projects involving the analysis of RNA molecules and establish key external collaborations with thought leaders in the genomics community. The successful individual will develop new technological solutions to increase the single molecule sequencing methods. S/he will analyze new and novel applications in the field of quantitative RNA for single molecule sequencing to address biological questions. Responsibilities include presenting data to senior management/interdisciplinary teams and supervising scientific staff to achieve research objectives. Expertise in RNA methods, applications and analyses is required. Experience in bioinformatics and computational biology is highly desirable. Experience managing partnerships with external collaborators, design and execution of RNA studies including studies of micro RNA, quantitative RNA measures and digital gene expression is ideal. A PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Comparative Genomics or related genomics discipline along with 5-10 years relevant experience in the field of genomics is required as is experience leading a small team of PhD scientists. We seek an accomplished scientist who posseses the ability to apply genomics to solve biological problems as demonstrated by publication track record. Sharp focus on deliverables and scientific excellence in execution of these deliverables is essential.
