Research Associate - Chemistry

Job Description: As a Research Associate you will support the development of technology platforms based on our proprietary BeadArray™ technology. You will be part of multidisciplinary teams solving complex problems, working on integration issues and investigating new research areas. Job duties include but are not limited to: •Performing routine chemical and biochemical testing •Using standard laboratory instrumentation: i.e. UV-VIS, HPLC, fluorescence plate readers, tecan robotics •Produce and test complex reagents •Testing of DNA chip functional quality •Supporting the testing and screening of new materials •Participating on multidisciplinary teams •Analysis of large complex data sets •Keeping a laboratory notebook •Present updates, write reports and conduct technical meetings Qualifications Education and Experience: •The ideal candidate with have a BA or BS degree in Chemistry and 0-2 years experience in DNA chip development or related technology •A sound foundation in analytical chemistry •Thorough understanding of automation, robotics and process design •Demonstrated knowledge of fluorescence dyes, optical systems assay development and organic synthesis •Excellent communication skills •A desire to be part of face paced dynamic development environment
