Intern, Oncology and Neuro
Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Thaw, expand and/or maintain and utilize mammalian cell lines in experiments specific to a given project
* Learn, become adept and utilize basic techniques of cell manipulation and molecular biology to ask and attempt to answer basic questions
* Become familiar with the projects we are working on and provide support for any efforts therein
* Key deliverables will be learning and implementing RNAi based experiments and western blot, and assisting in generating data to answer key questions regarding the biology and nature of Wolframin and associated proteins as they relate to our ERSM MOA
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be enrolled in a College/University and have at least finished two years of a Bachelor's Degree majoring in a biological science field
* Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating in Spring 2016
* Minimum 3.2 GPA
* Legally eligible to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with sterile technique and pipetting
* Enrolled in a curriculum concentrating on mammalian cell biology
* Highly motivated and good problem-solving skills
* Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
