Pharmacist, Formulary & Restrictions
Key Responsibilities:
Research, evaluate, interpret and enter payer restrictions information into the platform for all therapeutic classes as assigned and for which data has changed through data review processes
Research, review, and enter formulary data efficiently and accurately for all therapeutic drug classes for all segments
Collection and appropriate storage of all supportive documentation for formulary and restrictions data including but, not limited to formularies; Prior Authorization and Medical policies; and Injectables lists as provided through manual or automated review
Validate formulary data entered by the Formulary Researchers accurately according to guidelines set forth by the Director of Formulary Operations, report all discrepancies and review practices with appropriate researcher
Assist in the training of Formulary Research team as necessary to ensure sufficient background knowledge of drug information
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
BS Pharmacy/RPh/PharmD Degree
Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist or in a managed care environment
Advanced computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proven track record of working in a team environment
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
