Scientist III Molecular Biology
Requisition
Compile verification and validation reports. Transfer methods and protocols to process/tech transfer groups. Communicate with colleagues both in person and through scientific journals, emails, teleconferences, technical presentations and other means of communication. Apply experience and knowledge gained from one project to subsequent projects and share knowledge with other teams as a subject matter expert in peripheral monitoring and analysis of circulating nucleic acids including RNA. Develop expertise in one or two scientific procedures and/or areas of research with a specific interest in the growing field of oncology and peripheral monitoring. Maintain knowledge of peripheral monitoring field as it relates to oncology and have interest in complex instrumentation used in molecular biology applications as well as wet bench experience. Requires a good understanding of NGS data analysis tools and techniques.
Minimum Qualifications (must have)
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related areas and 1-2 years of working experience in academic or industrial settings. Experience with Pipetting, performing and reproducing complex scientific procedures with minimal variability; experience with most common molecular procedures utilized in RNA research such as nucleic acid isolation, PCR, RT-PCR, nucleic acid hybridization, cloning, and library construction. Experience with next generation sequencing platforms in a key requirement. A MS plus 3 years of experience, or a BS with 5 years of experience may be considered as well.
