Field Application Consultant - Custom Biotech
Be responsible for the on-site installation, calibration, verification, upgrade and evaluation of complex equipment, and applications.
Participates in new hire training/mentoring activities.
Conducts on-site customer training for customers for assigned instrumentation and applications.
Supports sales activities by promoting Roche products and identifying opportunities for new reagent channels.
Serves as the Roche liaison with customers on non-routine administrative and technical matters for assigned customers.
Maintains strong knowledge of assigned products and technologies.
Follows department policies regarding documentation, expensing and inventory control. Maintains contact with in-house technical support areas and management per policy.
This position is based out of Indianapolis and will provide support to customers across the United States, including Puerto Rico.
Have BS degree. Preferred advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related Life Sciences with 3 years’ experience using, installing and evaluating complex instrumentation.
Ability to learn Roche product line
Have experience with common laboratory practices and methods
Possess critical thinking and good judgment & decision-making skills.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills; good oral and written communication skills
Have excellent self-management skills including flexibility, adaptability, stress tolerance, and following through in a timely manner
Have demonstrated advanced time-management, planning, organization and implementation skills.
