Senior Research Associate - Neuroscience
Seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to join our efforts in developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease. This individual will use in vivo, molecular, biochemical, and cellular techniques towards developing an improved understanding of the blood brain barrier (BBB). This is primarily a hands-on laboratory job encompassing a combination of both in vivo and in vitro work, with some project management responsibilities. The candidate is expected to be a highly independent contributor and will have the opportunity to provide strategic leadership in the design of experiments and interpretation of complex data.
Seeking a rigorous and proactive individual who is able to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field, and additional postdoctoral experience is a plus. The successful candidate will have a record of high-quality scientific publications that demonstrate strong expertise in in vivo techniques, molecular neuroscience, and preferably experience studying neuronal development and/or neurodegenerative disease. Candidates must be able to multi-task, manage time efficiently, and communicate with collaborators with diverse scientific backgrounds. Exceptional candidates will also have a strong background in molecular/cellular neurobiology and the blood brain barrier, with expertise in both culture-based and in vivo models.
