Research Associate - Molecular Biology
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline
1+ years of relevant industry experience
Hands-on molecular biology/cloning expertise
Expertise in mammalian protein expression preferably HEK293 and CHO
Working knowledge of protein expression systems
Enzymology, protein engineering, and/or tumor biology experience a plus
Protein analytics and/or mAb experience a plus
Primary Responsibilities of the Position:
Design & assembly of expression constructs
Expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells
Contribute scientifically to the design of engineered proteins
Organization/documentation of methods and results
The ideal candidate will have:
A track record of generating reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision, yet understand when to seek input and when to make independent judgments
Proven creativity, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills
Self-motivation to understand the principals of protein engineering
Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, flexible and collaborative team environment
