Scientist, Technical Service Associate
-Utilize scientific knowledge and available resources to communicate requested information to the customer by phone, email,
and fax.
-Direct consultative inquiries to more experienced scientists in Technical Service.
-Recommend products based on customer needs and research interests
-Document product quality issues.
-Document errors and information the responsible department for changes in Sigma-Aldrich electronic and printed
publications.
-Document all customer interactions and requests for new products.
-Contribute to company/dept operations and process improvement efforts.
-Recommend and participate in process improvement studies.
-Actively participate on intra- and inter-departmental teams as assigned
Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the chemical or biological sciences and/or experience in relevant scientific-based or
laboratory/production work
