Senior Business Development Manager – Biologics
# Provide the sales organization with in-depth product support for the Biologics product portfolio;
# Collect information on key market developments;
# Execute and manage product lifecycle;
* Provide in-depth product expertise to the sales organization by product training/coaching to sales reps/distributors;
* Direct the provision of technical product support – in the field with reps, in trade shows, and other meetings;
* Delivery of field training – to reps and surgeons; based on own developed content;
* Develop Global Messages on the Biologics product portfolio in cooperation with the US Biologics & Biomaterials Team;
* Tracking of market trends & portfolio gaps;
* Identification of KOLs for educational and training purposes;
* Identification of KOLs for new product development and evaluation in close cooperation with US Biologics & Biomaterials Team;
* Determination of local product price, local product portfolio, participate in pricing decisions, and oversee inventory decisions within area of responsibility (e.g. allocation of products, initial product launches, etc.);
* Organization of regional & international meetings;
* Understand and interpret key product and market intelligence data and convert into overall marketing strategy plans and decide on product rationalizations;
* Quantification of sales plans, feeding the demand-plans into the SIOP process.
* Higher education work and think level is preferred;
* Medical/Bio-medical/Biologics education is preferred;
* 8-10 year experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry is preferred;
* Experience with Biologics products is preferred;
* Excellent builder of relationships;
* International experience;
* Experience in developing markets for new technology platforms;
* Detailed understanding of commercialization processes (customer acquisition, conversion, and support);
* Ability to provide technical support in the Operating Theater;
* Numeracy – ability to pull together sales plans based on inputs from BUMs/Distributors.
* Scientific orientated;
* Proven success in terms of new business sales;
* Excellent communication skills in local language and English, both orally as well as in writing;
* Enthusiasm, with a passion for Biologics & Biomaterials;
* Analytical and Conceptional thinking;
* Capable of establishing long lasting relationships;
* Individual / autonomous worker, pro-active attitude;
* Aim-orientated;
* Ability to form trust-based relationships with product end-users and sales forces;
* Ability to influence outcomes in a matrix organization;
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to teams, rather than be a solo-contributor.
