Associate Scientist in Biotech
The scientist will provide independent hypothesis-driven investigation of potential or identified nonclinical and clinical toxicity issues and establish new platforms to enable small molecule lead optimization. The scientist will interact closely with discovery scientists, Safety Assessment development toxicologists and pathologists to de-convolute toxicology issues and ensure that discovery teams consider all of the appropriate strategic and investigative needs for candidate identification with regard to toxicology issues, thus providing better candidate selection and characterization of toxicology issues at the time of transition to early development.
PhD and post-doctorate or equivalent experience in immunology, oncology, cellular or molecular biology, toxicology or related field are required; 3-5 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry related to toxicology are desired. Demonstrated skills in development and application of new assays/technologies required, experience with automation and/or statistical analysis are preferred. The scientist must have strong hypothesis-driven research skills, and problem-solving skills
