Principal Scientist, Formulations
*Responsible for formulating lens care products such as contact lens multipurpose solution, peroxide lens care solution and novel lens packaging solutions.
* Responsible for interacting with cross functional teams in analytical chemistry, microbiology and solution processing groups to design experiments that help understand structure-property-process relationships of formulations and how these affect product performance.
* Establish and maintain lead roles on problem solving teams as well as design experiments in order to solve difficult challenges related to product development activities.

Prepare formulations in the laboratory in a team setting

Conduct first approach analytical methods to screen formualtions
*
Prepare abstract information for presentation to technical and non-technical associates alike for the purpose of persuading project direction based on credible data.
*
Design and execute experiments that support marketing of products in the development phase.
*
Represent the strengths of product formulations at trade show meetings through presentation of technical data.
*
Author technical reports, memos and records of invention to further the lens care portfolio.
*
Proactively develop strong relationships with functional partners to ensure an aligned approach for driving projects forward.
*
Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or related Natural Science field with 5 years experience in formulation of products. Solid understanding of analytical chemistry and material science is advantageous.
*
MS degree in Chemistry or related Natural Science field with 10 years experience in formulation of products. Solid understanding of analytical chemistry and material science is advantageous.
