R&D Senior Scientist II
Independently design and implement research plans; oversee the completion of projects
oversee the on-time completion of custom synthesis projects
Help identify custom synthesis opportunities; work with customers and Sales to provide quotes with clear deliverables
Advise on strategic scientific directions; provide periodic updates on new technologies, relevant IP landscapes and therapeutic oligo pipelines to appropriate members of Genomics R&D, Sales and Marketing
o Execute critical experiments associated with a research plan
o Document experimental design and results in a lab notebook
o Analyze and organize data to draw meaningful conclusions
o Motivate others
o Model professional behavior
o Promote company values
o Be a technical resource for Genomics R&D organization
o Effectively communicate (both written and oral) with junior scientists, departments outside R&D and management
o Give internal and external presentations to colleagues
o Be primary liason to MKE site for technology transfer and manufacturing support
* Doctoral degree (Ph.D.)
* 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience
