Associate Bioinformatics Developer
.
§ Develops, tests, and documents custom software for product design and data analysis.
§ Performs custom data analyses for internal and external customers under the direction of a senior developer.
§ Designs, executes, and interprets in silico experiments associated with a research plan.
§ Researches and recommends solutions for infrastructure decisions including database architecture, data sourcing, and development/testing tools.
§ Works with scientists and product managers to define user requirements.
§ Provides internal support for technical aspects of genomics-based product lines.
§ Experience with object-oriented software development; experience with database and/or web development a plus.
§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
§ Ability to multi-task, exercise judgement in setting priorities, and self-motivate.
§ Experience developing for a variety of languages and platforms highly desirable, with experience in C# a plus.
§ Background in a hard science (especially biology or chemistry) highly desirable.
§ Previous bioinformatics and/or statistics experience a plus.
§ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology or similar degree strongly preferred.
