Fellow/Principal Scientist, Formulations
Competencies:
o Uses scientific knowledge to make decisions on projects. Makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results.
o Conducts, plans and leads one or more highly complex scientific project, including determining objectives and organizing activities.
o Develops scientific findings and makes recommendations.
o Works under general supervision of higher-level scientist or manager.
o Effectively presents scientific findings at internal meetings and external scientific meetings.

o Responsible for meeting project goals within time and budget constraints.

o Generally supervises other scientists and associates.
o Applies extensive expertise as a scientific specialist.
o Has a working knowledge of related disciplines.
o Applies, on a broad base, principles, theories, and concepts to a specific field.
o Maintains high level of expertise through review of current scientific literature, submissions to scientific journals, and attendance and participation at conferences focused on the research and development efforts of the company.
o Displays a general knowledge of biopharmaceutical development.
o Develops creative solutions to complex problems using available scientific theories and knowledge.
o Anticipates and manages project related investigation and issues. Escalates them to senior management as appropriate.
o Performs role with limited direction to meet organizational objectives.
o Has considerable latitude in determining scientific objectives of assignment.

Years of Experience:
For the Principal Scientist level we require a PhD with 11-13 years of directly related experience and
for the Fellow level we require a PhD with 13-15 years of directly related experience.
Education:
Ph.D. in the Life Sciences.
