Development Scientist in Biotech
• Contribute to the development of cell culture processes for manufacturing both early and late-stage clinical candidates
• Participate in general laboratory procedures including bioreactor operations, equipment setup and maintenance
• Evaluate novel cell culture technologies to enhance development efficiency and manufacturing operations
• Represent the department in cross-functional settings, interacting regularly with external groups
• Summarize and present findings regularly at team and departmental meetings
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ph.D. in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline with 0 – 2 years of relevant industry experience
• Ability to utilize engineering principles to characterize unit operations particularly bioreactors within cell culture processes
• Experience working with cultured animal cells, using aseptic techniques and common cell culture analytical equipment
• Proficiency in using computer software including MS Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
• Ability to communicate, in writing as well as orally, with peers and senior management
