Medical Research Associate
Key Accountabilities
-Provide imaging support to project teams conducting clinical trails that rely upon the results of medical imaging studies.
-Assist in study design to ensure standardization of imaging techniques in multi-center trials.
-Attend imaging site visits to assist site technologists on medical imaging protocol issues.
-Provide guidance in the customization of image analysis software tools to meet business needs.
-Support project managers on general project management issues.
-Coordinate appropriate training activities on relevant radiology topics for staff members.
-Participate in meetings with existing clients and/or presentations to prospective clients, as needed.
-Develop, as necessary, and ensure compliance with relevant standard operating procedures.
Skills
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a good working knowledge of medical terminology and standard medical practice, as well as the ability to acquire and apply new knowledge of imaging applications to the pharmaceutical industry as related to specific clinical trials. The ability to communicate clearly and precisely both orally and in writing is essential, along with the ability to research information and prepare written documents.
-A keen ongoing interest in advanced biological sciences, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and regulatory affairs is essential for maintaining quality performance in this position, and continuing education in these areas is encouraged.
Experience:
Education
- PhD or PhD with fellowship or Master's Degree plus 3-4 experience in the field of biological, medical, physical and/or engineering sciences with focus on clinical MR applications is a pre-requisite. Advanced knowledge of MR applications is desirable. Knowledge of other diagnostic imaging modalities such as CT and ultrasound will be a plus.
