Scientist Translational Research in Biotech
* Target evaluation for novel, clinically-relevant, oncology targets
* Development and use of relevant in vivo models including subcutaneous, orthotopic, hematological and metastatic tumor models
* Establishment of target-based pharmaco-dynamic assays
* Proficiency with compound formulation, tumor efficacy and PK/PD assays for single treatment or in combinations.
* Development of tumor and serum biomarkers using pharmacogenomic approaches.
* Interacting with multidisciplinary teams of scientists internally
* Internal and external presentations in scientific conferences
* Supervision of Research Associates
* PhD in molecular biology, pharmacology, cancer genetics or equivalent
* 3+ yrs of working biotech/ pharmaceutical/ or academia experience
* Working knowledge of major cancer pathways and associated assays
* Experience with angiogenesis, hypoxia, mechanisms of drug resistance, tumor microenvironment, metastasis, cancer stem cells desirable
* Familiarity with molecular profiling and cancer genomics
* Record of scientific excellence through high-quality publications and presentations
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting, excellent communication skills
* People management experience
