Life Scientist I Biotech/R&D/Science
The position is for a scientist to support development of biomarkers to characterize different types of rare cells and develop assays to detect rare circulating cells. Evaluate antibodies by flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy.
The position requires experience in basic cell biology and analytical techniques. The candidate should be able to perform experiments with some guidance from supervisor and maintain records in laboratory notebook and written reports.
Perform CellSearch assays. It involves processing blood samples using Veridex AutoPrep instrument for sample preparation system and CellTracks Analyzer for sample analysis using standard procedures This requires Veridex internal training.
Analysis of data. This involves writing the protocols, summarizing the data.
Education and Experience Required
Requires a Bachelors degree & 2-5 years experience or Masters degree & 1 years experience in biology or biochemistry. Evaluation of reagents by flow cytometry and/ or fluorescent microscopy is desired. Experience in immunocytochemistry is a plus.
