Scientist II/Senior Scientist
Position Requirements The Scientist II/Sr. Scientist will lead the advancement of biosuperior targets into full drug discovery programs. Additional responsibilities include providing expertise to help guide ongoing drug discovery projects, building new biosuperior research capabilities (in vitro and/or in vivo), and establishing and managing collaborations with leading academic and contract research organizations. The candidate will also communicate results to colleagues including senior research management, and influence biosuperior research strategy.
Other responsibilities include:
-Identify and assess new opportunities for biosuperior therapeutics
-Lead cross functional teams for drug discovery and manage direct reports effectively
Education: PhD required. 5-7 years in either an academic or industrial research setting. Previous industry experience and previous management experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience:
-Experience in antibody/protein therapeutics drug discovery
-Detailed knowledge of and extensive experience in broad therapeutic areas
-Experience with in vitro assays and/or in vivo models
-Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
-Aptitude for innovation and creativity, and ability to work with minimal supervision
-High degree of common sense and strong organizational skills
-Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented environment
