What Is PK (Pharmacokinetic)?
✍: Guest
PK (Pharmacokinetics) describes the drug concentration-time
courses in body fluids resulting from administration of a certain drug dose.
More precisely, PK describes how the body reacts to a drug in terms of ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion).
In short, PK describes what a body does to a drug.
Here is an illustration of the drug concentration over time in plasma.
