Vaccination for Infection Protection Index Formula
Relative Protection Index = Infection Rate Difference + Vaccination Rate Difference Infection Rate Difference = Global Infection Rate - Regional Infection Rate Vaccination Rate Difference = Global Vaccination Rate - Regional Vaccination Rate
Example 1: Vaccination for Infection Protection Index in India, using 2022-12-18 WHO data.
Global Infection Rate = 8.31% India Infection Rate = 3.24% Global Vaccination Rate = 162.61% India Vaccination Rate = 132.00% Relative Protection Index = (8.31 - 3.24) + (162.61 - 159.39) = 8.29
Example 1: Vaccination for Infection Protection Index in USA, using 2022-12-18 WHO data.
Global Infection Rate = 8.31% USA Infection Rate = 29.77% Global Vaccination Rate = 162.61% USA Vaccination Rate = 195.57% Relative Protection Index = (8.31 - 29.77) + (162.61 - 195.57) = -54.42
Example 1: Vaccination for Infection Protection Index in China, using 2022-12-18 WHO data.
Global Infection Rate = 8.31% China Infection Rate = 0.68% Global Vaccination Rate = 162.61% China Vaccination Rate = 235.52% Relative Protection Index = (8.31 - 0.68) + (162.61 - 235.52) = -65.28
